Back from Sitka

My side quest to bring dad a new phone was successful! He is very happy with the upgrade and learning the new system. The trip was much needed and I had a fun surprise, my tribe and family were having a celebration that coincidentally was happening the same weekend!
While I was waiting for my plane home to Sitka, I was asked to give an interview on the recent funding cuts to Indian boarding school research and the impact it has had.
My dad now has his new phone and is reconnecting with the world. He’s getting his projects up and running and he wants my help. I am heading back to Anchorage in less than two weeks for a gathering of Indian Boarding school research groups. My dad will be speaking on a panel and he wants me to bring my camera. I’ve got my tickets booked and I’m pulling the funding together for the trip.
