Dealing with Denialism

There is a massive increase in misinformation about Residential Schools that is being pushed online. So I am going to push back.

On tiktok I have been dealing with a trend from trolls, a growing intensity in anti-Indigenous content, and now an aggressive effort to label the horrors that took place at Indian Boarding schools a hoax. Multiple publications (mostly from Canada) are pushing blatantly false narratives. Now people (or bots, getting harder to tell these days) are showing up in my comments to rage farm my content.

I am going to need help pushing back on this by asking you all to:

1. Engage with all content related to Residential school developments. There are several publications covering the news coming out, but I recommend Native News Online, and Pro Publica for these kinds of updates.
