New YouTube video is up!

I finally sat down and recorded my thoughts on the trip to Oregon to help my dad. I am still processing many emotions about the trip, but I did share some comments I received from descendants finding the content online. I have been sitting with these painful stories, but they need to be shared. Trigger warning: descriptions of what was experienced at Morningside.

The other day, I made this video about the Truth and healing legislation for the US investigations into the Indian boarding schools:

The same evening I posted it, my mom invited me to an event where the CEO of the National Native American Boarding School Healing Coalition just happened to be the opening speaker! Deborah Parker and I go way back; years ago, we worked on a film project about salmon together.

Seeing her again was lovely, and the timing still has me smiling.
