SCOTUS tells Oil Companies no, again
And the reintroduced Truth and Healing legislation passes senate committee.
Many things happened today, but two things I would like to highlight:
First up, the supreme court rejected a republican lead bid to stop multiple climate lawsuits that are coming for major oil companies. Many states, Tribes, and local governments have filed lawsuits accusing big oil of misleading the public about their products or for failing to act. Todays SCOTUS decision comes as a bit of a surprise in this political climate, but with the current trend of climate lawsuits it looks like big oil’s famous lawyers will be put to the test.

Next! Last week the Truth and Healing legislation was reintroduced in the senate. Today it passed the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. The bill currently has 21 co-sponsors. I have not seen any CTA’s yet but as soon as I do I will pass them along. In the mean time here are the resources provided by the Native American boarding school healing coalition. https://boardingschoolhealing.org/advocacy/
Things are about to get very busy for me, see you around the internet!
