Cheer Choice Top 5
I'm popping back in to say a big thank you to everyone who has been voting for me in the Cheer Choice awards! (And a busy spring is incoming)
I just got the email this morning that I have made the top 5 of the cheer choice awards; the final round of voting to determine the winner of each category has begun. I am looking at travel accommodations for the event in April.
Thank you to everyone for supporting me and the content all this time! We’ve come a long way since I first came to TikTok with a mask shop and opinions about the Canadian oil company Enbridge. My strange but fantastic path has brought me amazing opportunities: a job working for journalist Judd Legum, managing a TikTok account for his newsletters, and, more recently, my trip to DC & to meet the amazing Louisiana activists organizing to stop LGN in their state. I am honored to help amplify their work! Roishetta Ozane is incredible, and I hope to learn from her long-lasting commitment and passion for organizing community-driven climate action.
My dad, who I shared with you all this fall, called on the DOI to expand the investigations of boarding schools to include mental institutions like Morningside Hospital in Oregon.
He has asked me to help him with this project in Oregon. The timeframe I have been given is early February. It’s on me to get there right now; if folks feel generous, I have this GoFundMe for the trip to Oregon. Thank you to everyone who helps support this less entertaining but vastly important aspect of my work. I am still navigating a lot with my mental health after my dad began sharing his research with me on the Lost Alaskans Project. It is a very dark subject that needs as much light as possible. When I come back to my regular content schedule, I am going to continue sharing this history and encourage as many of my audience as possible also to see the resources I have compiled here:
I am going to be focused on a few things over the next few months:
Amplifying the various calls to stop LNG buildouts.
The way you can help with this is to interact with all Stop LNG content I make or share: comment using relevant words for SEO, watch all the way through, and share cross-platform.
Getting as much attention on the Lost Alaskans project as possible
The way you can help with this is to interact!!
Funding for travel
It looks like I will be all over the place this spring, and I would love your help! Here are the ways:
Thank you all again for everything!
